We enjoyed having Lisa visit our school last week.  The students were very excited to work with her.  The music she used grabbed the students¹ attention right away and they were engaged throughout the time she was here.  Several parents mentioned to me that their child put in the CD the minute they got home Tuesday night and sang all the songs all night. Faculty enjoyed attending the large group time to see what the students had been working on.  We even got a few to dance along with the kids!

It is with pleasure that I write a recommendation for Lisa Yves. I have known Lisa through her work as the 2005 SMARTS Summer Institute musical theatre/vocal teacher for children grades 1-3. Lisa’s musical expertise and talent is one of a kind and her enthusiasm and energy positively affected everyone who worked with her. She has a gentle, yet direct teaching approach and easily collaborated with other teachers to problem solve, generate ideas and develop curricula.

I was so impressed with Lisa’s ease in developing excellent group dynamics with the children, teach them difficult vocal skills and then coordinate multiple groups to execute an awesome and unified final presentation…and she smiled and was calm through the whole process. Amazing!
